Thanks in part to technological advances, manufacturing jobs are more interesting, attractive and rewarding than ever before. And yet, according to the National Association of Manufacturers, hundreds of thousands remain unfilled today, with that number likely to reach two million in the next ten years.
While advanced manufacturing tools and solutions such as collaborative robots will most certainly take on the dull and dangerous work that human beings prefer to steer clear of, people are needed for the more meaningful jobs that require decision-making abilities and other skills which machines lack. So, with the right training, opportunities are there for the taking.
