Electric parallel grippers enable Baxter to pick up a wide range of objects of varying sizes. They include:

• A grip force sensor for positive detection of item acquisition
• Interchangeable fingers of different lengths
• Interchangeable fingertips that can be customized for specific objects

Electric parallel grippers provide one degree of freedom with multiple grasp widths, deliver an actuation time of less than one second and allow Baxter to pick up from the outside or inside of an object.
